Photoelectric Minimum Times of Some Eclipsing Binary Stars
We present 15 minimum times of 8 eclipsing binaries observed in theyears from 2001 to 2003 and in 1998 only for V436 Per.

UBV Photometry of the Massive Eclipsing Binary TT Aur
UBV observations of the massive binary system TT Aur were carried outmainly at the Turkish National Observatory (TUG). These observations, together with IUE spectra and times of eclipse minima collected from theliterature, were used to study the system parameters. Simultaneoussolution of the light curves by the Wilson-Devinney code allows asemi-detached configu-ration with a slightly larger Roche-lobe fillingsecondary. This picture is supported by other evidence. The shoulders ofthe primary minimum suggest some excess absorption, in keeping withcircumstellar material in the form of a disk-like structure around theprimary component. The deeper primary minimum in the U filter mayindicate a hotter region on the secondary-facing hemisphere of theprimary. The period variation of the system can also be related to thepossible existence of a third component in a circular orbit around thesystem. An alternative detached representation is also considered usingoptimal curve-fitting techniques. We appeal for further observations tohelp resolve some outstanding issues in this interesting massive binary.

UBV beta Database for Case-Hamburg Northern and Southern Luminous Stars
A database of photoelectric UBV beta photometry for stars listed in theCase-Hamburg northern and southern Milky Way luminous stars surveys hasbeen compiled from the original research literature. Consisting of over16,000 observations of some 7300 stars from over 500 sources, thisdatabase constitutes the most complete compilation of such photometryavailable for intrinsically luminous stars around the Galactic plane.Over 5000 stars listed in the Case-Hamburg surveys still lackfundamental photometric data.

Vitesses radiales. Catalogue WEB: Wilson Evans Batten. Subtittle: Radial velocities: The Wilson-Evans-Batten catalogue.
We give a common version of the two catalogues of Mean Radial Velocitiesby Wilson (1963) and Evans (1978) to which we have added the catalogueof spectroscopic binary systems (Batten et al. 1989). For each star, when possible, we give: 1) an acronym to enter SIMBAD (Set ofIdentifications Measurements and Bibliography for Astronomical Data) ofthe CDS (Centre de Donnees Astronomiques de Strasbourg). 2) the numberHIC of the HIPPARCOS catalogue (Turon 1992). 3) the CCDM number(Catalogue des Composantes des etoiles Doubles et Multiples) byDommanget & Nys (1994). For the cluster stars, a precise study hasbeen done, on the identificator numbers. Numerous remarks point out theproblems we have had to deal with.

Empirical temperature calibrations for early-type stars
Three temperature calibrations of suitable photometric quantities havebeen derived for O and B stars. A sample of 120 stars with reliableT(eff.) determinations has been used for establishing each calibration. The different calibrations have been critically discussed and compared.Temperature determinations for 1009 program stars have been obtainedwith an accuracy of the order of 10 percent.

2000 A UV imaging of a 6 deg diameter field around MU Aurigae
UV imagery of a 6 deg diameter field centered on Mu Aurigae in thegalactic plane was obtained with the SCAP 2000 experiment dedicated toan UV sky survey. Photometric UV magnitudes at 2000 A are given here formore than 500 stars detected in the field. A star-counting method isapplied to give a fine description of the interstellar matterdistribution up to 1000 pc. The mean space density for B8-A3 stars isderived. Stars with an UV excess are detected and spectralreclassification of some single or binary stars is suggested.

The variation of interstellar extinction in the ultraviolet
One hundred and fifty-four reddened stars that are apparently normal inthe visible were selected from the S2/68 Ultraviolet Sky Survey. Theultraviolet data for 92 of these cannot be explained in terms of a fixedinterstellar extinction law. Between 1400 and 2740 A, the extinctioncurve for each star can be well represented by two parts; astraight-line scattering component and a Lorentzian 2200 A absorptionfeature. Independent variations are found in both parts and these cannotbe explained by photometric or spectral classification errors. Bothparts vary smoothly, implying that there is no fixed extinction law, andone star in three is found to depart from the mean law by more than 1mag at either 1500 or 2200 A. The two variations allow not only all 154stars to be explained but also anomalous stars reported by otherauthors. These are not special but merely situated towards the limits ofthe variations. A variation in the relative proportions of graphite andsilicate grains goes some way towards explaining the observations. Theprofile of the 2200 A feature is determined, the symmetrical shape isconfirmed, and the profile fits a Lorentzian very closely.

A catalog of ultraviolet interstellar extinction excesses for 1415 stars
Ultraviolet interstellar extinction excesses are presented for 1415stars with spectral types B7 and earlier. The excesses with respect to Vare derived from Astronomical Netherlands Satellite (ANS) 5-channel UVphotometry at central wavelengths of approximately 1550, 1800, 2500, and3300 A. A measure of the excess extinction in the 2200-A extinction bumpis also given. The data are valuable for investigating the systematicsof peculiar interstellar extinction and for studying the character of UVinterstellar extinction in the general direction of stars for which theextinction-curve shape is unknown.

The local system of early type stars - Spatial extent and kinematics
Published uvby and H-beta photometric data and proper motions arecompiled and analyzed to characterize the structure and kinematics ofthe bright early-type O-A0 stars in the solar vicinity, with a focus onthe Gould belt. The selection and calibration techniques are explained, and the data are presented in extensive tables and graphs and discussedin detail. The Gould belt stars of age less than 20 Myr are shown togive belt inclination 19 deg to the Galactic plane and node-lineorientation in the direction of Galactic rotation, while the symmetricaldistribution about the Galactic plane and kinematic properties (purecircular differential rotation) of the belt stars over 60 Myr oldresemble those of fainter nonbelt stars of all ages. The unresolveddiscrepancy between the expansion observed in the youngest nearby starsand the predictions of simple models of expansion from a point isattributed to the inhomogeneous distribution of interstellar matter.

UBV photometric observations of TT Aurigae
UBV photometry of the eclipsing binary TT Aur obtained with anunrefrigerated photomultiplier detector at the Newtonian focus of the60-cm reflector at Bergedorf Observatory during November 1967 - March1968 and October 1968 - March 1971 is reported. The comparison stars anddata-reduction procedures are indicated, and the light-curve data arepresented in a table.
