An Atlas of Spectrophotometric Landolt Standard Stars We present CCD observations of 102 Landolt standard stars obtained withthe Ritchey-Chrétien spectrograph on the Cerro TololoInter-American Observatory 1.5 m telescope. Using stellar atmospheremodels, we have extended the flux points to our six spectrophotometricsecondary standards, in both the blue and the red, allowing us toproduce flux-calibrated spectra that span a wavelength range from 3050Å to 1.1 μm. Mean differences between UBVRI spectrophotometrycomputed using Bessell's standard passbands and Landolt's publishedphotometry were determined to be 1% or less. Observers in bothhemispheres will find these spectra useful for flux-calibrating spectra,and through the use of accurately constructed instrumental passbands,will be able to compute accurate corrections to bring instrumentalmagnitudes to any desired standard photometric system (S-corrections).In addition, by combining empirical and modeled spectra of the Sun,Sirius, and Vega, we calculate and compare synthetic photometry toobserved photometry taken from the literature for these three stars.

The Pul-3 catalogue of 58483 stars in the Tycho-2 system A catalogue of positions and proper motions of 58483 stars (Pul-3) hasbeen constructed at the Pulkovo observatory. The Pul-3 is based on theresults of measurements of photographic plates with galaxies (Deutsch'splan). All plates were taken using the Pulkovo Normal Astrograph (thefirst epoch is in the 1950s and the second epoch is in the 1970s).The Pul-3 catalogue contains stars of mainly 12 to 16.5 mag in 146fields with galaxies in the declination zone from -5o to+85o. The Tycho-2 has been used as a reference catalogue.The mean epoch of the Pul-3 is 1963.25. The internal positional accuracyof the Pul-3 catalogue at the mean epoch of observations is ±80mas. The accuracy of the proper motions is mostly within ±3mas/yr to ±12 mas/yr. Comparisons of the Pul-3 with Tycho-2 andARIHIP have been done at the mean epoch of the Pul-3. The Tokyo PMC catalog 90-93: Catalog of positions of 6649 stars observed in 1990 through 1993 with Tokyo photoelectric meridian circle The sixth annual catalog of the Tokyo Photoelectric Meridian Circle(PMC) is presented for 6649 stars which were observed at least two timesin January 1990 through March 1993. The mean positions of the starsobserved are given in the catalog at the corresponding mean epochs ofobservations of individual stars. The coordinates of the catalog arebased on the FK5 system, and referred to the equinox and equator ofJ2000.0. The mean local deviations of the observed positions from theFK5 catalog positions are constructed for the basic FK5 stars to comparewith those of the Tokyo PMC Catalog 89 and preliminary Hipparcos resultsof H30.

Photometric survey near the main Galactic meridian: 2.1. Finding charts and photoelectric U,B,V,R stellar magnitudes in 26 fields. Photometric properties of the night sky at Mount Terskol observatory Finding charts and photoelectric magnitudes of stars in the \ubvr\system in 26 fields of the MEGA programme are presented. This part ofthe photometric survey near the Main Galactic Meridian includes thefields with right ascentions 8(h) < alpha < 16(h) 30(m) anddeclinations -2(deg) < delta < 58(deg) . Together with the findingcharts of 2.5(deg) x2.5(deg) the equatorial coordinates of the stars aregiven for epoch and equinox 1950. Photometric properties of the nightsky at the Mount Terskol observatory near Mount Elbrus are derived fromthe photoelectric observations.

Photoelectric UBV photometry of northern stars from the HK objective-prism survey. II Photoelectric UBV photometry is presented for a sample of 165 starsdrawn from the extension of the HK objective-prism/interference-filtersurvey of Beers, Preston, and Shectman to the northern galactichemisphere. These results are part of continuing follow-up observationsof candidate metal-deficient and horizontal-branch field stars and otherinteresting stars identified in the survey. A complete set ofphotometric observations is now available for three of the25-square-degree survey fields. The complete photometric sample of 299northern HK candidates obtained to date contains on order 90main-sequence turnoff, subgiant, and giant stars with (Fe/H) of lessthan or equal to -1.0, 50 field blue horizontal-branch stars, and 30stars with the photometric properties of field-blue stragglers.

UBV(RI)c photometry of equatorial standard stars - A direct comparison between the northern and southern systems UBV(RI)c photometry of 212 stars from Landolt's list of equatorialstandards is presented. The observations are tied to the system definedby Cousin's E-region standards. A comparison of the present results withLandolt's reveals reasonably good agreement for (V-R)c and (V-I)c, butmarked systematic differences for (B-V) and (U-B). The UBV systems ofCousins and Landolt are evidently not the same and both probably differfrom Johnson's original system.

Photoelectric UBV photometry of northern stars from the HK objective-prism survey Photoelectric photometry is presented for a sample of 139 halo starsdrawn from an extension of the HK objective-prism survey of Beers,Preston, and Shectman to the northern galactic hemisphere. Thecandidates for which photometry is reported were selected to span a widerange of types, but are dominated by stars classified as type AB, A, or'metal poor'.

First detection of the astrometric orbit of the single-lined spectroscopic binary epsilon Librae The Multichannel Astrometric Photometer of the University ofPittsburgh's Allegheny Observatory was used to successfully measure forthe first time the astrometric orbit of the single-lined spectroscopicbinary epsilon Lib. Solution of the orbit indicates that the secondarycomponent is a 0.5-solar-mass star, assuming that the F5 IV primary is1.3 solar mass. If the secondary is on the main sequence, then it islater than a K5 star, but earlier than an M2 star. In addition todetection of the astrometric orbit of epsilon Lib, two references starsused in the observations, AO 754 and AO 755, are found to be acommon-proper-motion pair.

UBVRI photometric standard stars around the celestial equator It is pointed out that accurate, internally consistent, and readilyaccessible standard star photometric sequences are necessary for thecalibration of the intensity and color data which astronomers obtain atthe telescope. The photometric results provided in connection with thepresent study represent the first part of an effort which is concernedwith the presentation of UBVRI photoelectric photometric standard starsin the magnitude range from 7 to 17 over as broad a range in color aspossible. All of the photometric observations were made with a 31034type photomultiplier used in a pulse counting mode. Some 15 to 25standard stars chosen from Cousins' lists (1973, 1976) in the E-regionswere observed with an 0.4-m telescope each night along with the programstars. UBVRI standard stars were observed periodically throughout thenight. Observations with a 0.9-m telescope were also conducted. TheUBVRI photoelectric observations take into account 223 stars.

Equatorial UBVRI photoelectric sequences From 1335 BVRI observations of 189 stars in selected areas 92-115,Landolt's (1973) network of faint UBV standards has been extended to RI. Of these stars, 173 have four or more observations. The (U-B) valuesof Landolt are adopted, and a well-observed equatorial faint-starnetwork is presented on the Johnson UBVRI photometric system.
