Parameters on single Wolf-Rayet stars.
Among 157 known galactic WR stars 70 are WC, 81 - WN, 2 - WO and 4 -intermediate type Wolf-Rayet stars (WN stars with comparatively stronglines of carbon ions). Among these 157 WR stars 31 have absorption linesof a second component (OB star) in the spectrum. Effective temperaturesare: Teff ≈ 30000 - 50000K for WN8 - WN3 stars andTeff ≈ 20000 - 50000K for WC9 - WC5 stars. Mass loss ratesof WR stars are high: M≈ 2×10-5 -2×10-4M_sun;/y. Chemical composition is abnormal and onthe HR diagram the early subtype WR stars are situated to the left andthe late subtype WR stars to the right from the position ofmain-sequence O-stars. The masses of WR stars lie within the limits M =5 - 50 M_sun;.
