Spectral Classification of Stars in A Supplement to the Bright Star Catalogue
MK spectral types are given for about 584 stars in A Supplement to theBright Star Catalogue. These are compared with Hipparcos parallaxes tocheck the reliability of those classifications. The estimated errors are+/-1.2 subtypes, and 10% of the luminosity classes may be wrong.

Spectroscopic orbits of potential interferometric binaries
We are obtaining high-resolution, red-wavelength spectra at McDonald andKitt Peak National Observatory to improve the orbits of knownspectroscopic binaries that are potential targets for ground-basedoptical interferometers. The combination of such observations willproduce three-dimensional orbits from which very accurate masses andorbital parallaxes can be obtained for double-lined systems. Thisspectroscopic program will be expanded and placed on the menu of the 2meter Automatic Spectroscopic Telescope of Tennessee State Universityonce it commences routine operation.

Speckle Interferometry of New and Problem Hipparcos Binaries. II. Observations Obtained in 1998-1999 from McDonald Observatory
The Hipparcos satellite made measurements of over 9734 known doublestars, 3406 new double stars, and 11,687 unresolved but possible doublestars. The high angular resolution afforded by speckle interferometrymakes it an efficient means to confirm these systems from the ground, which were first discovered from space. Because of its coverage of adifferent region of angular separation-magnitude difference(ρ-Δm) space, speckle interferometry also holds promise toascertain the duplicity of the unresolved Hipparcos ``problem'' stars.Presented are observations of 116 new Hipparcos double stars and 469Hipparcos ``problem stars,'' as well as 238 measures of other doublestars and 246 other high-quality nondetections. Included in these areobservations of double stars listed in the Tycho-2 Catalogue andpossible grid stars for the Space Interferometry Mission.

UvbyHbeta_ photometry of main sequence A type stars.
We present Stroemgren uvby and Hbeta_ photometry for a set of575 northern main sequence A type stars, most of them belonging to theHipparcos Input Catalogue, with V from 5mag to 10mag and with knownradial velocities. These observations enlarge the catalogue we began tocompile some years ago to more than 1500 stars. Our catalogue includeskinematic and astrophysical data for each star. Our future goal is toperform an accurate analysis of the kinematical behaviour of these starsin the solar neighbourhood.

Vitesses radiales. Catalogue WEB: Wilson Evans Batten. Subtittle: Radial velocities: The Wilson-Evans-Batten catalogue.
We give a common version of the two catalogues of Mean Radial Velocitiesby Wilson (1963) and Evans (1978) to which we have added the catalogueof spectroscopic binary systems (Batten et al. 1989). For each star, when possible, we give: 1) an acronym to enter SIMBAD (Set ofIdentifications Measurements and Bibliography for Astronomical Data) ofthe CDS (Centre de Donnees Astronomiques de Strasbourg). 2) the numberHIC of the HIPPARCOS catalogue (Turon 1992). 3) the CCDM number(Catalogue des Composantes des etoiles Doubles et Multiples) byDommanget & Nys (1994). For the cluster stars, a precise study hasbeen done, on the identificator numbers. Numerous remarks point out theproblems we have had to deal with.

Photometry of eight magnetic peculiar A stars
The paper presents the photometry of eight magnetic Ap stars 63 And, CUVir, Beta CrB, Chi Ser, 52 Her, HD 111133, HD 147010, and HD 173650,most of which was obtained with the Phoenix 10-in. AutomatedPhotoelectric Telescope of the Fairborn Observatory. Special attentionis given to the results of period determinations, showing that thefailure to establish better periods is often due to inaccuracies andgaps in the photometry. The data obtained for HD 147010 validatesNorth's (1984) period of 3.9210 days.

Spectral types of 80 early-type stars of variable radial velocity
MK spectral types are given for 80 normal early-type stars of variableradial velocity. These spectral types were determined from spectrogramstaken with the Lick Observatory 0.9-m refractor during the years1957-58.

Spectroscopic binaries - 15th complementary catalog
Published observational data on the orbital characteristics of 436spectroscopic binaries, covering the period 1982-1986, are compiled intables. The data sources and the organization of the catalog are brieflydiscussed, and notes are provided for each item.

Orbital elements for the double-line spectroscopic binaries HD 104451 and HD 141458
The first spectroscopic orbital solutions for the double-line binariesHD 104451 and HD 141458 are presented. The instrumental configurationfor the observations is described, and the absorption lines measured inthe spectra are shown. The measured radial velocity, mean error, andnumber of lines measured for each component are presented for bothbinaries. Orbital elements and velocity curves obtained for bothbinaries are also presented. HD 141458 has a moderately large orbitaleccentricity, but otherwise neither system is exceptional in any way.
