Metallicities of Stars with Extrasolar Planets
We are carrying out spectral synthesis modeling for one thousand starson the Lick, Keck and AAT planet search projects. Our analysis of thefirst five hundred stars confirms the metal-rich nature of stars withdetected extrasolar planets. Of particular interest is the underlyingmechanism for this metallicity correlation. We cannot identify anyattributes of our data that provide evidence for enrichment of theconvective zone by accretion as the primary source for the observedmetallicity correlation. Specifically, we do not see a functionaldependence of metallicity on convective zone depth in main sequencestars or the expected decrease in metallicity among planet-bearingsubgiants with diluted convective zones.

Walraven photometry of nearby southern OB associations
Homogeneous Walraven (VBLUW) photometry is presented for 5260 stars inthe regions of five nearby southern OB associations: Scorpio Centaurus(Sco OB2), Orion OB1, Canis Major OB1, Monoceros OB1, and Scutum OB2.Derived V and (B - V) in the Johnson system are included.
