A Catalog of Visual Double and Multiple Stars With Eclipsing Components
A new catalog of visual double systems containing eclipsing binaries asone component is presented. The main purpose of this catalog is tocompile a complete list of all known multiples of this variety, both forcurrent analysis and to highlight those in need of additionalobservations. All available photometric and astrometric data wereanalyzed, resulting in new orbits for eight systems and new times ofminimum light for a number of the eclipsing binaries. Some of thesystems in the catalog have acceptable solutions for their visualorbits, although in most cases their orbital periods are too long forsimultaneous analysis. Also included, however, are a number of systemswhich currently lack an orbital solution but which may be suitable forsimultaneous analysis in the future.

TZ Lyrae: an Algol-type Eclipsing Binary with Mass Transfer
We present a detailed investigation of the Algol-type binary TZ Lyrae, based on 55 light minimum timings spanning 90 years. It is found thatthe orbital period shows a long-term increase with a cyclic variationsuperimposed. The rate of the secular increase is dP/dt=+7.18×10^{-8} d yr^{-1}, indicating that a mass transfer from the less massivecomponent to the more massive one at a rate of dm=+2.21×10^{-8}M_? yr^{-1}. The cyclic component, with a period of P_{3}=45.5 yrand an amplitude of A=0.0040°, may be interpreted as either thelight-time effect in the presence of a third body or magnetic activitycycles in the components. Using the latest version Wilson-Devinney code,a revised photometric solution was deduced from B and V observations. The results show that TZ Lyr is an Algol-type eclipsing binary with amass ratio of q=0.297(±0.003). The semidetached configurationwith a lobe-filling secondary suggests a mass transfer from thesecondary to the primary, which is in agreement with the long-termperiod increase of the binary system.

New CCD Times of Minima of Eclipsing Binary Systems
We present a total of 208 CCD timings for 103 eclipsing binaries.

A catalogue of eclipsing variables
A new catalogue of 6330 eclipsing variable stars is presented. Thecatalogue was developed from the General Catalogue of Variable Stars(GCVS) and its textual remarks by including recently publishedinformation about classification of 843 systems and making correspondingcorrections of GCVS data. The catalogue1 represents thelargest list of eclipsing binaries classified from observations.

Precise CCD Times of Minima of Selected Eclipsing Binaries
We present 135 precise CCD minima timings for 93 eclipsing binariesobtained at Ondrejov observatory during 2003-2004.

A Catalog of 1022 Bright Contact Binary Stars
In this work we describe a large new sample of contact binary starsextracted in a uniform manner from sky patrol data taken by the ROTSE-Itelescope. Extensive ROTSE-I light-curve data are combined with J-, H-,and K-band near-infrared data taken from the Two Micron All Sky Surveyto add color information. Contact binary candidates are selected usingthe observed period-color relation. Candidates are confirmed by visualexamination of the light curves. To enhance the utility of this catalog,we derive a new J-H period-color-luminosity relation and use this toestimate distances for the entire catalog. From these distance estimateswe derive an estimated contact binary space density of(1.7+/-0.6)×10-5 pc-3.

Stars with the Largest Hipparcos Photometric Amplitudes
A list of the 2027 stars that have the largest photometric amplitudes inHipparcos Photometry shows that most variable stars are all Miras. Thepercentage of variable types change as a function of amplitude. Thiscompilation should also be of value to photometrists looking forrelatively unstudied, but large amplitude stars.

1998 UBV Observations of st Aquarii and Light Curve Analysis
1998 UBV photometry of short period eclipsing binary ST Aquarii havebeen presented. The photometric solution obtained from light curveanalysis by the method of differential corrections indicates that thesystem can be classified as a near contact binary. Derived value for theratio of radii left( {k = {left< {r_c } rightrangle }/{left< {r_hrightrangle }} \cong 0.67} right) shows that both components cannot beconsidered to be Main-Sequence, but they are probably evolved from M.S.

ROTSE All-Sky Surveys for Variable Stars. I. Test Fields
The Robotic Optical Transient Search Experiment I (ROTSE-I) experimenthas generated CCD photometry for the entire northern sky in two epochsnightly since 1998 March. These sky patrol data are a powerful resourcefor studies of astrophysical transients. As a demonstration project, wepresent first results of a search for periodic variable stars derivedfrom ROTSE-I observations. Variable identification, perioddetermination, and type classification are conducted via automaticalgorithms. In a set of nine ROTSE-I sky patrol fields covering roughly2000 deg2, we identify 1781 periodic variable stars with meanmagnitudes between mv=10.0 and mv=15.5. About 90%of these objects are newly identified as variable. Examples of manyfamiliar types are presented. All classifications for this study havebeen manually confirmed. The selection criteria for this analysis havebeen conservatively defined and are known to be biased against somevariable classes. This preliminary study includes only 5.6% of the totalROTSE-I sky coverage, suggesting that the full ROTSE-I variable catalogwill include more than 32,000 periodic variable stars.

MSC - a catalogue of physical multiple stars
The MSC catalogue contains data on 612 physical multiple stars ofmultiplicity 3 to 7 which are hierarchical with few exceptions. Orbitalperiods, angular separations and mass ratios are estimated for eachsub-system. Orbital elements are given when available. The catalogue canbe accessed through CDS (Strasbourg). Half of the systems are within 100pc from the Sun. The comparison of the periods of close and widesub-systems reveals that there is no preferred period ratio and allpossible combinations of periods are found. The distribution of thelogarithms of short periods is bimodal, probably due to observationalselection. In 82\% of triple stars the close sub-system is related tothe primary of a wide pair. However, the analysis of mass ratiodistribution gives some support to the idea that component masses areindependently selected from the Salpeter mass function. Orbits of wideand close sub-systems are not always coplanar, although thecorresponding orbital angular momentum vectors do show a weak tendencyof alignment. Some observational programs based on the MSC aresuggested. Tables 2 and 3 are only available in electronic form at theCDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or viahttp://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/Abstract.html
